West Sumatera has many cities. The most famous city is Bukittinggi. Bukittinggi is one of the large city in West Sumatera. Many tourists come to Bukittinggi because it has many tourist objects, the cultures, and the weather is so fresh.
Jam Gadang is the unique tourism object in Bukittinggi. Jam Gadang was built an architect Yazid Sutan Dental Ameh in 1926. It is an icon that become the pride of Bukittinggi. Jam Gadang has an unsolved mystery until now. The mystery is the number one (I) Roman as many as four pieces, namely IIII.
There is canyon in Bukittinggi called Sianok Canyon. Sianok Canyon is a steep valley located in the border town of Bukittinggi with District IV Koto, Agam regency. The fauna such long-tailed, monkeys, gibbons, hoop, deer, wild boar, leopard, and tapirs.
Bukittinggi is connected to Padang by road, though a dysfunctional railway line also exists. For inner-city transport, Bukittinggi employs a public transportation system known as Mersi (Merapi Singgalang) and IKABE that connect locations within the city. The city also still preserves the traditional horse-cart widely known in the area as Bendi, although the use is limited and more popular to be used as vehicle for tourist, both domestic and foreign.
There is “nasi kapau” which has become famous in Bukittinggi. The Bukittinggi’s administration has especially provided space for the seller of this specific rice menu from the Kapau region. Restaurant serves Minangkabau cuisine is widely known, both in West Sumatera and throuhgout the arpichelago, as Rumah Makan Minang.
That is all of many factors why the many people and tourists come to Bukittinggi. Beside that, Bukittinggi has a natural nature because the located between two mountains Marapi and singgalang. Basicly, Bukittinggi is a beautiful city.
